イベントについて
As societies around the world rapidly age, Thailand is facing the same challenge. This project was launched to promote the health and well-being of older adults in the community and to pass local memories on to future generations.
To achieve this, we introduce “KAISOHO (Reminiscence)”, practiced through methods inspired by museum exhibition techniques. KAISOHO is attracting growing attention in the field of elder care. This project is supported by a research grant from the Toyota Foundation.
Drawing on the Japanese model of “community-based reminiscence,” we have held monthly workshops at the village museum, Tai Kheun Folk Culture Center, since June 2025. These workshops provide a place where older adults gather to share and reflect on their life stories.
The Center Director, Samantha Phuangkham, completed professional training in Kitanagoya City, Japan—a leading site for reminiscence practice—in February 2025, and currently serves as the program facilitator.
